The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN), on behalf of the Regional Government of Piura, launched an International Public Tender for the project “Operation and Maintenance of the Sullana Level II-2 Support Hospital.”

The objective of the tender is to select a specialized operator to assume the operation and maintenance of the Gray Coat services (infrastructure management, maintenance, and hospital equipment) and Green Coat services (clinical support services, including sterilization, laboratory, imaging, and hemodialysis).

The contractual framework is structured to hold the private operator accountable for maintaining uninterrupted access to infrastructure, equipment, and supporting services. Medical care will continue to be provided at no cost to the public, with the State remaining responsible for delivering those services. Located in northern Peru, the Sullana Level II-2 Support Hospital ranks among the most significant facilities of its type in the region and plays a key role in the national effort to address healthcare shortfalls. The project brings in private sector involvement through a PPP arrangement, which will ensure the facility remains operationally viable, technologically current, and thoroughly maintained over 17 years. The project will directly benefit more than 650,000 residents of the provinces of Sullana, Tambogrande, Las Lomas, Talara, and Ayabaca in the Piura region, ensuring the provision of hospital support services with modern infrastructure and modern equipment.

The contract, with a project value of US$162 million, is expected to be awarded in the last quarter of 2026.
