On behalf of the Ministry of Health (MINSA), the Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) announced the call for the Comprehensive Project Competition for the selection of national or foreign investors to be responsible for financing the renovation of infrastructure and equipment, as well as the operation and maintenance of the gray and green coat services of the National Institute of Child Health - San Borja (INSNSB).

The San Borja Children's Health Institute serves pediatric patients from 0 to 17 years old with highly complex conditions; it also conducts research, teaching, and provides health services. It is a Reference Center not only nationally but also throughout Latin America (patients from Ecuador and Bolivia attend). It has 241 inpatient beds, 59 ICU beds, and 6 intermediate care beds. It has five core areas: cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, bone marrow transplants, neonatal/pediatric surgery, and burn treatment.
