The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) will award a US$317 million PPP contract to a private operator for the operation and maintenance of the National Institute of Child Health of San Borja (INSN-SB).

The project, valued at an estimated USD 317 million under a 17-year concession, has attracted five private bidders competing to oversee key operational services at the institute, including facility maintenance, medical equipment management, laundry, cleaning, catering, security, sterilization, laboratory services, and the phased renewal of advanced medical technology. Medical treatment, however, will remain free of charge and under state administration.

The National Institute of Child Health in San Borja is a national and Latin American referral center specializing in cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, transplants, neonatal care, and burn treatment, with 241 hospital beds, 59 ICU beds, and 6 NICU beds. The new concession will ensure its continuous and efficient operation with modern equipment, benefiting thousands of pediatric patients and strengthening the country's healthcare system.
