The Request for Proposals (RFP) stage has closed for teams submitting bids for the Stations, Rail and Systems (SRS) package for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE). The SRS package includes design and construction of seven stations and installation of rail and systems for the 9.2-km extension, as well as works at the existing Mount Dennis Station to connect the ECWE with future Eglinton Crosstown LRT service. The SRS package is being delivered using a progressive design-build delivery model. The following teams submitted proposals by the deadline:

• Design Team: Hatch Ltd., Egis Canada Ltd., and Weston Williamson Partners Ltd.

Trillium Rail Partners  

• Applicant Leads: Amico Major Projects Inc., Alberici Constructors, Ltd., and Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc.

WestEx Transit Solutions

Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx are evaluating proposals, and a team will be selected to enter into a development phase with Metrolinx, anticipated for summer 2025. The 9.2-km Eglinton Crosstown West Extension consists of four major packages of work: the Stations, Rail and Systems contract; the first advance tunnel contract from Renforth Drive to Scarlett Road; the second advance tunnel contract from Jane Street to Mount Dennis Station; and the elevated guideway contract between Scarlett Road and Jane Street.
