Turner Construction Company has been selected by JMA Ventures to serve as the general contractor for the US$500 million Westcourt Orlando mixed-use development adjacent to the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, USA.
Westcourt Orlando is a landmark 900,000-square-foot mixed-use development taking shape next to the Kia Center in Orlando, home of the NBA’s Orlando Magic. Valued at US$500 million, the project will feature a Kimpton hotel, upscale residential towers, Class A office space, retail and dining destinations, and a live entertainment venue. Planned as a dynamic and pedestrian-friendly district, the development aims to strengthen connectivity and energize the area surrounding one of Orlando’s leading sports and entertainment hubs.
The construction of Westcourt Orlando is anticipated to deliver substantial economic benefits to the region. Initial site preparation activities have already begun as the project advances toward full-scale construction. At its peak, the development is expected to employ nearly 800 workers onsite and generate around 1,600 direct construction jobs throughout the project duration. The development will also provide significant opportunities for local subcontractors, with a large share of trade partners likely to be sourced from the Central Florida area. Various work packages will be organized to promote wide participation across different phases and components of the project.
