The Uttar Pradesh state cabinet approved the establishment of a 69.52-acre robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) park in Greater Noida. Named the Platform for Robotics and AI Growth through Technology and Innovation (PRAGATI) Park, the project aims to strengthen indigenous robotics manufacturing, accelerate AI-based technology development and promote investment and research in advanced technologies.

The proposed park will be developed in two zones with different investment and development structures. The first zone, covering eight acres, will be developed and operated through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) under a PPP model. The Greater Noida Authority will hold a 26% equity stake in the SPV, while the selected industrial partner will own the remaining 74%. The second zone, spanning 61.52 acres, will be developed by private enterprises through investments in industrial units and related activities, without any capital liability for the state government.

The financial structure for the first zone includes an equity contribution of ₹21.1 crore from the Greater Noida Authority and an interest-free loan of ₹126.2 crore from the Uttar Pradesh government for a period of 30 years. The industrial partner will be selected through a quality-based selection process. Following its selection, the project will proceed through SPV registration, land allotment, execution of the lease deed and construction-related activities. The SPV will also receive a service charge equivalent to 5% of the revenue generated from development charges on land allotments in the second zone, along with applicable GST.

PRAGATI Park is planned as an integrated technology and manufacturing hub, bringing robotics testing and certification centres, rapid prototyping facilities, AI computing infrastructure, motion-capture systems and data laboratories under one roof. These shared facilities are expected to provide startups, entrepreneurs, research institutions and established companies with access to advanced equipment and GPU-based computing infrastructure at affordable rates. The park will also support testing of robotics products against international standards and help businesses obtain certifications such as CE and UL, improving their ability to enter global markets.
