The Entidad Binacional Yacyretá (EBY) has launched a procurement process to modernize its data center, as the first stage of a comprehensive three-phase project aimed at upgrading its main technological infrastructure.
The tender covers the upgrade of Cisco’s dedicated Fabric Interconnect connectivity device and the installation of two Nexus switches configured in redundancy to separate the data center network from the operational or field (OT) network. Since 2018, Yacyretá has operated a data center platform built on Cisco and Dell technologies, integrating solutions such as Stromasys/Charon SSP, EMC storage, VMware virtualization, and Veeam backup and recovery systems.
The proposed architecture must comply with ISO 27001 information security standards and IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems, ensuring effective separation between IT and OT environments. The contract covers the supply, installation, configuration, and commissioning of the equipment, along with technical support and full maintenance services for a period of 36 months.
The Yacyretá Binational Entity will accept proposals until March 12, 2026, at its offices in Buenos Aires and Asunción, while the bid opening is scheduled for March 19 at 14:00 at the Buenos Aires office.
