BAM has commenced construction of the second bundle of facilities in the Higher Education PPP Programme across Ireland.
This PPP project will deliver STEM and learning facilities at five campuses. It is being offered in partnership with Invesis, with BAM as the design and construction contractor and BAM FM providing long-term facilities management. The Higher Education PPP Programme involves the development of modern buildings and facilities for multiple third-level institutions, designed to support contemporary teaching, learning, and research environments.
The facilities in this bundle include South East Technological University (Waterford and Carlow campuses), Technological University of the Shannon (Limerick), and Atlantic Technological University (Letterkenny and Galway campuses). These new facilities, ranging from STEM and IT buildings to libraries and general teaching spaces, will significantly enhance capacity and capability in key academic disciplines such as engineering, computing, science, and applied technologies.
Delivered under the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science PPP programme, the project is expected to generate significant economic and social value throughout its lifecycle, supporting local communities and contributing to Ireland’s long-term educational goals.
