Chile’s concessions agency DGC launched a CLP 2.67 billion (US$ 2.84 million) tender to carry out the integral studies for a US$ 600 million highway concession that is being planned for route L-30-M in the Maule region.
The project entails expanding the 83km stretch of road connecting the city of Constitución to its junction with Route 5—Chile’s main north-south highway—in San Javier. The tender includes studies on engineering design, traffic demand, social impact assessment, land expropriations, public engagement, and considerations related to indigenous communities and environmental issues. The purpose is to assess incorporating the current Ruta L‑30‑M into Chile’s concessions system and redesign it to motorway standards, improving traffic flow, service quality, and safety.
It’s structured in two stages and includes a competitive timeline: proposals close on September 12, 2025, with technical and financial openings on September 12 and October 14, respectively, and an expected award by November 30, 2025. Tender details can be accessed by clicking here.
