Colombia's National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has awarded public works contracts to the MIA C&E Consortium and Consorcio Pacífico 2026 to rehabilitate, maintain, and operate the Bogotá–Belencito and Pacific railway corridors across Colombia under investments totaling US$ 564,958 billion. 

For the Bogotá–Belencito railway corridor, the MIA C&E Consortium has been awarded a US$ 284,436 billion contract to maintain the railway infrastructure and oversee corridor administration, surveillance, traffic control, operations, and environmental and social management. The scope of work covers the 278.4-km Bogotá–Belencito main line, including the La Caro–Zipaquirá and Bogotá–Facatativá sections and branch lines.

Furthermore, the project includes the commissioning, administration, conservation, and maintenance of the rolling stock assigned to the corridor, ensuring its mechanical, operational, and functional availability in accordance with future operating needs and the technical standards defined by the ANI for this project. This corridor runs through Bogotá and continues through the municipalities of Chía, Cajicá, Zipaquirá, Tocancipá, Gachancipá, Sesquilé, Suesca, Chocontá, and Villapinzón in the department of Cundinamarca, and the municipality of Ventaquemada, the city of Tunja, and continues through the municipalities of Oicatá, Tuta, Paipa, Duitama, and Sogamoso, ending in Belencito, in the department of Boyacá. The MIA C&E Consortium is made up of the companies Martín Casillas SLU Colombia Branch with 40% participation, Ingecon SA with 10%, ASCH Infraestructuras SAS with 30%, ASCH Infraestructuras y Servicios Colombia Branch with 10% and Servicios Arcom SA with 10% participation.

In the case of the Pacific railway corridor, the Pacific 2026 Consortium will be in charge of the maintenance and conservation of the railway corridor along with traffic, operation, environmental management, land, social and maintenance activities of the rolling stock assigned to the line, which has an extension of 498 km, an investment of US$ 280,522 million and covers the sections between Buenaventura-Yumbo-Zarzal-Cartago-La Felisa and the Zarzal-La Tebaida branch.

The Pacific2026 Consortium is made up of the companies MOTA ENGIL LATAM COL SAS with 49.99% participation, MOTA-Engil ENGENHARIA E Construcao SA, Colombia Branch with 0.01%, MOTA ENGIL COLOMBIA SAS with 10%, Ingeral Compañía SAS with 10% and the Sociedad Infraestructura Nacional Ltda with the remaining 30% participation. The Consortium will be responsible for traffic control, operation, and environmental and social management activities on the Yumbo–Caimalito section and the Zarzal–La Tebaida branch line. On the prioritized Palmira–Buga section, works must be carried out to improve the rail corridor.
