The Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura (ANI) of Colombia will hold a public hearing on December 3, 2025, in the town of Turbo, Antioquia — specifically at the auditorium of the school “Colegio 29 de Noviembre” in the community of Nueva Colonia. The hearing aims to present to the general public the plans submitted by the Puerto Progreso de Urabá port company for the construction of a port terminal with two specialized zones for handling containers, liquid bulk cargo and hydrocarbons.
According to the proposal, the new terminal would include two specialized areas designed to handle different types of cargo — one for containers and another for liquid bulk goods and hydrocarbons. The public hearing will bring together community leaders, municipal authorities, and residents from the municipalities that fall within the area of influence, allowing them to learn about the project’s technical and operational details and to raise any concerns or questions.
