The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has planned to develop a ₹20 crore (US$2.12 million) community centre with private partners in Gomti Nagar Extension, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The project is intended to create a comprehensive recreational and social hub for residents. The proposed community centre will be developed near Saraswati Apartments, Sector 4. It will feature a multipurpose hall along with an adjoining lawn for hosting social and cultural gatherings. Additional facilities such as a kitchen and dining area are also planned. To accommodate guests and short-term stays, the centre will include eight rooms and two suites. Planned amenities include a gymnasium, yoga centre, indoor games area, cafeteria, and a swimming pool, making it a full-fledged community hub.
Prathamesh Kumar has instructed officials of the LDA to begin the process by inviting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), with the project to be implemented under a PPP model. According to Manvendra Singh, the planned three-storey facility, complete with basement parking, will primarily cater to residents of River View Apartments and nearby areas. The centre will offer a range of amenities, integrate rooftop solar panels to reduce energy consumption, and feature a design that combines practicality with modern aesthetics.
