Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the ₹3.75-crore (US$0.4 million) Indoor Sports Complex, developed by the Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA), in Roorkee, Haridwar district, Uttarakhand, India.
The project comprises a modern, air-conditioned indoor sports complex in Roorkee, completed in nearly one year. The two-storey facility occupies around two bighas of land near the Roorkee Roadways Bus Station. The complex includes two badminton courts, dedicated spaces for chess and carrom, a fully equipped gymnasium, a TV lounge, a cafeteria, and parking facilities. It will be managed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, providing a modern venue for sports training, fitness, and recreational activities for the local community, particularly youth.
