Turner Construction Tops Out Clemson’s First Veterinary School in US$190 million Project
Turner Construction Company and Clemson University partnered at the site in a veterinary education and research centre in South Carolina for a ceremonial beam-signing event, marking the structural topping-out milestone.
The Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine will be the first veterinary school in South Carolina, drawing students from across the state and beyond. The campus will include seven key facilities: a central Hub for classes, studying, and student interaction; an Ambulatory Service Building; a Clinical Teaching Building; a Research Building; a Central Utility Plant; and dedicated buildings for Farm Animal and Equine Teaching. Amid a growing need for veterinarians in the state, the project represents a major investment in advancing animal care, public health, and community well-being. The college is set to open in time for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Turner, selected in early 2024, is serving as the main construction manager for the US $190 million Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine.
