Turner & Townsend has completed the acquisition of Profica, a Johannesburg-headquartered consultancy specialising in real estate project management and construction solutions across Africa.
As part of the acquisition, Tim White, the former CEO and founder of Profica, has been named Regional Managing Director for Africa at Turner & Townsend, with effect from April 2026. Having co-founded Profica in 2005 and established a strong footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa, he brings significant expertise in leading and delivering large-scale, high-profile, and complex projects within the property, construction, and civil engineering sectors throughout the region. The completion of the acquisition establishes a leading real estate project management consultancy in Africa, bringing together two highly complementary organizations and a combined team of nearly 400 professionals with deep regional knowledge and market insight.
The transaction broadens the footprint of Turner & Townsend across Africa, increasing its presence from 13 cities in 11 countries to 19 cities in 16 countries, underscoring its continued commitment to sustained investment and long-term growth in the region. Through this partnership, the firm is now positioned to deliver a comprehensive asset lifecycle offering across Africa, with enhanced expertise in development management, principal contracting, and construction management. Priority growth sectors include data centres, hospitality projects, principal contracting delivery, and development consulting services.
