The Anillo Vial de Lima y Callao project has reached its first financial close, securing up to US$190 million to support the acquisition and release of private land required for the project. The financing is backed by BBVA (Spain), MUFG Bank (Japan), and COFIDE (Peru).
The funds will initially be used for land acquisition and clearance for Tramos 1 and 3, enabling the concessionaire to make the required areas available for construction progressively. Further financing is expected for the acquisition of land for Tramo 2 and, subsequently, for the construction of infrastructure across all three sections. The project comprises approximately 34.8 km of toll highway divided into three sections, connecting areas of Callao and Lima and passing through districts including San Martín de Porres, Los Olivos, Independencia, Comas, San Juan de Lurigancho, Ate, La Molina, Santa Anita and San Luis. It is expected to benefit more than 4.5 million people by improving connectivity, reducing travel times and easing congestion.
